North Country Canvas was started in
the spring of 1994 when we needed a cover for our boat.
After many hours of figuring things out, we made our own boat cover. Much to our surprise, our neighbors at
the cabin wanted us to make one for their boat.
We heard about a school in Ohio where they taught you how to make boat covers, so Dave went there to learn
all the tips and tricks to making a quality cover.
The business was part time for five years and then full time in April 2000.
We joined Marine Fabricators Association in 1998, where Dave became
a Certified Craftsman. This organization led us in the right direction to help our company grow.
Because of this organization, we are able to stay current on new
products and techniques.
We are a small company that works by appointment only. We work on one boat at a time so
we can pay attention to the details you want for a quality cover.
Our goal at North Country Canvas is to make a quality covers at an affordable price.
The fabrics we feel make a quality cover are: Top Gun,
Oddysey, Coast Guard and Aqualon. These are our favorites.
Our Daughter Kaycee has joined the team and has
been with us since Spring of 2011. She has been learning the trade from her father.
